One of Europe’s largest investment managers are launching a new direct real estate investment business and they need a Financial Controller to manage it. This is a unique opportunity to join a start-up real estate private equity firm, with over £2bn. in committed capital, within the security and of a blue chip firm. The asset managers and most of the operation staff are now in place, leaving you with an excellent platform to join the business at peak growth.

While reporting to a senior Finance Director and having direct access to the board, the company has elected to hire a more junior person that can grow with their business over the coming years, making this a brilliant opportunity to grow your professional skillset continuously. This will no doubt be a step up for anyone who chooses to take it on.

Key responsibilities:

*Provide advice and guidance to the board
*Assist the senior management team in growing the business in line with the projected business plan and P&L
*Develop and deploy continuous improvement plans
*Be responsible for the approval of the financial model for real estate acquisitions
*Undertake investigations and appraisals, while analysing information in order to identify trends
*Own, undertake and deliver audit assignments and reviews of significant programmes in accordance with the Internal Audit plan
*Offer regular reporting of key consolidated business and regulatory information for Group
*Become an integral part of the business’ Management team

Skills required:

*Qualified accountant
*Strong academic profile
*Experience in real estate, from either a builder or investment manager’s perspective. Knowledge and enthusiasm for of the trends in the market is also critical.
*A can-do attitude and an ability to work at all levels
*Senior stakeholder interaction desirable
