Speech and Language Teaching Assistant - Finchley

The School:


Our client school has a proud of its excellent academic record and is looking for an exception Teaching Assistant to join their team in September 2016. It is also larger than the average-sized primary schoola and has taken on additional ‘bulge’ classes in Reception and Year 2 to meet the demand for places.


The role:


You will be working 1:1 with a child in year 4 and you will be helping them with reading, writing and spoken English as well as their pronunciation. You will be working closely with the SENCO and also the assistant Head to provide feedback on the child’s development. The school have said that they will take on a graduate or someone who has had previous experience working with children with SEN.


Additional job information:


Additionally, the school is looking for someone who is creative and has a passion for art as the child you will be working with also has an appetite for art and responds well to creative learning or learning through art. The role is for a full time post so you will need to be available Monday to Friday 08:30 – 15:30.


Required documentation:



  • DBS certificate registered to the update service




  • Valid passport or UK driving licence




  • Two references from your previous school or two character based references
