About the Role of Year 3 SEN Teacher
As a Year 3 SEN Teacher you will be leading an energetic Year 3 class of approximately 8 pupils. An experienced TA will be on hand in your lessons to help you with any challenging children or to give you a hand with preparation or assessments. Your Year 3 SEN Teacher duties will include benefitting from the leadership of a talented Senior Leader and working with the support from an electrifying Head Teacher. The additional role of a Literacy Co-ordinator is on offer for the right candidate and use the school’s an outside learning area to deliver enjoyable lessons. The school is particularly proud of their creative and innovating teaching style – an ethos you will be encouraged to follow. Part of your Year 3 SEN Teacher role will include seizing the chance to use the schools exciting resources all of which will be at your full disposal.
Person Specification for Year 3 SEN Teacher
You will have the empathetic understand needed to balance offering support to pupils with complex learning needs and teaching self-reliance. The right candidate will be a capable Year 3 SEN Teacher who has received a ‘Good’ or better grading from observations and 1 year of solid teaching experience. The ideal individual should be able to understand and impact new classroom dynamics and act as a role model to their students and, indeed, to other staff members. You should have the capability to plan for the challenges and disruptions that are likely to arise while working with SEN children. You will arrive with the empathetic understand needed to balance offering support to pupils with complex learning needs and teaching self-reliance.
