Front of House Receptionist, £18-22K, West London - Gordon Yates - London





A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a experienced receptionist to join this small company on an temp to perm basis. Who will you be working for?


Based within a tranquil area of West London, their studio and office are located off a picturesque canal, situated in a hub of other creative and young companies. Their building really creates attention with their unique and intimate design façade and irregular office set up. This company allows you to enjoy the moody and inspirational interiors filled with outstanding British design as well as finding peace of mind by the local dockland area.


The company was founded by a highly reputable self-taught designer focusing on high end interior design including, lighting, furniture and accessories. They specialise is bespoke pieces with varying textures and material that provides an industrial vibe to their products. Selling independently as well as a handful of high end stores, this is a company that really excels in the interiors industry, making its mark as one of the best in modern British design.


What does the job consist of?


  • You will be the first point of contact for the Company. This will include meeting and greeting all visitors to the building and answering the telephone in a professional and friendly manner.

  • You will accept all deliveries on behalf of the Company and notify the recipients so that parcels can be collected as soon as possible. You will also be responsible for organising couriers for external post.

  • You will also be the main point of contact for any employee requests or queries and provide them with any support required.

  • You will be responsible for ordering all office stationary and consumables on behalf of the Company.

  • You will assist the Studio Manager with administration support. The Studio Manager will send you a list of prioritised jobs for completion on a daily basis and this includes helping PR/marketing with sending out items/information

  • You will assist the Studio Manager in booking meeting rooms and organising internal office space. You will also book travel and accommodation for employees as and when required.

  • You will assist with any internal communications such as the delivery of the fortnightly team meeting.

  • You will be the first point of contact for the building janitor and responsible for advising him of any building maintenance issues or providing him with any information required. There will be an element of estate coordination such as liaising with the landlord and keeping lines of communication open for ‘Dock Kitchen’ and ‘Innocence’ regarding shared general maintenance issues.

What will the successful candidate be like?


We are looking for someone who is keen with a spark and someone with a good attitude, not afraid to get ‘stuck in’ and ideally passionate about the brand.
