For this role you must be a talented proven practitioner who feels ready for school-wide leadership or an existing professional Head of Humanities ready for a new environment who has knowledge and experience of leading a successful team. The school is hoping for an experienced Humanities teacher/ Head of Humanities who is able to show the provision to lead their staff to the highest possible standards. About the Role
As a Head of Humanities your role will involve you taking responsibility for the Humanities department as part of the middle leadership team and you will be managing staff training and CPD. As part of the school’s ongoing CPD promise, you will have access to a comprehensive library of training and teacher development resources. As a Head of Humanities you will be developing the current curriculum provision to include modern and innovative content to engage your peers, and their high ability students. Part of this role will also include you instigating best practice by continued observations whilst also inspiring your peers to better themselves. Middle management are encouraged to take an active role in how the school progresses, bringing new ideas to meetings with the senior leadership team.
