Residential Care Assistant – IMMEDIATE START

Care Assistants required for ongoing assignments based in and around West London working with children or young people with Challenging Behaviour / Learning Disabilities.

Typical duties will involve the social, emotional and physical support of children in a residential setting. Supporting with activities, encouraging independence and motivating them to learn and progress. You will be working with challenging behaviour, autism and learning disabilities.

You should be an effective communicator with a caring approach and understand the importance of providing support. You must be willing to work across a rota pattern which may include some weekend and evening work. You will have a good knowledge of safeguarding and adopt a person centred approach to the care and support you deliver.

If you have a DBS that is registered with the online update service, we can offer you work more quickly.

You will:
* Have at least 6 months experience working with Children and Young people in a residential setting
* Hold a valid CRB/ DBS (Conducted in the last 12 months)
* NVQ 2/3 Health & Social Care – NVQ 2/3 Children & Young People
* Able to work shifts, morning, evening, night.
