United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland: Reporting & Portfolio Officer
Fixed Term Contract until 31st December 2016
We are looking for a Reporting & Portfolio Officer to play a key role within our Global Programmes Department and be a focal point for the development of high quality reports for corporate, major donors and trusts and foundations within the East Africa Portfolio.

As Reporting & Portfolio Officer you will work in close collaboration with the Senior Portfolio Manager (SPM), Regional Portfolio Officers (RPOs) and SCI Country Offices and i) support the development of high quality reports for corporate, major donors and trusts and foundations; ii) provide surge capacity and cover for the RPOs when required ensuring quality award management and programme oversight of their grants (including review of institutional reports and proposals). You will also:
- Proactively develop oversight of non-institutional projects ensuring that necessary data needed to include in the report is regularly and timely collected
- Work directly with corporate account holders and Programme, Policy and Quality teams where applicable and with wider Save the Children stakeholders to build relationships
- Use expertise within the team to develop new and innovative ways to inspire and engage donors
- Contribute to the development and implementation of team processes and systems to continuously improve team efficiency
- Cover extra responsibilities within the overall East Africa Regional Portfolio Team if required.
To be successful you will have a proven track record in writing successful high value fundraising proposals, reports and budgets that secure significant donations from either corporate, institutional donors, major donors and trusts and foundations. You will also have:
- Outstanding project management and coordination skills
- A good understanding of international development programmes including terminology and language
- Confident IT skills to enable the production of visually appealing
- Strong inter-personal and relationship building skills
- High levels of numeracy and previous budget preparation experience.
