General Manager - Showcase Cinemas - Newham - Newham






Showcase Cinema is a world leader in the film exhibition industry operating more than 850 screens in the United States, United Kingdom, Argentina and Brazil. With 20 cinemas in the UK, we are now looking to recruit an experienced General Manager into our team.


We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for Cinema and proven experience in creating and evolving a destination experience for our guests.


The role involves the day to day management of the Cinema and the key to success will be down to your personality, business acumen and leadership skills.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Employee management and development

  • Achievement of targets to ensure maximum profitability

  • Developing a culture where the customer is firmly at the centre of everything we do

  • Ensuring that all legal and regulatory obligations are met

  • Relationship management to include networking with local communities and businesses

The ideal candidate will have:


  • Previous relevant experience preferably within the Leisure and hospitality Industry

  • Experience within a multi faceted business operation

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills

  • The ability to inspire and develop a cinema team

  • Experience of financial management and budgets

This role is certainly not a 9-5 role and a degree of flexibility will be required.
