United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland: HR Officer – Screening

Salary: £22,440 per annum (pending review)


Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) has an opening for a HR Officer, reporting to the HR Services Manager, who will look after screening for the department and will also support the deliverables of the HR Services team. In particular, the role will involve supporting the screening for all field offices, project work on the HR system and collating statistics for the HR metric reports. The role will support key HR projects of strategic significance including HR business data which will be presented to the Board of Directors.


The post holder will be managing and updating the screening SharePoint site and screening dashboards. S/he will be screening all IRW and field office staff & volunteers on a regular basis, will be keeping a record of all staff worldwide and will liaise with the field to send regular updates. S/he will also support the HR team in administrative duties i.e. contractual letters, annual leave, filing, and support letters, updating the HR system, report writing or statistics.


The successful candidate will have proven experience in providing a variety of broad administrative activities in a large organisation, especially in HR. The post holder will have the ability to organise; prioritise and work efficiently under pressure and subject to changing priorities; proven experience managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and using judgment and initiative in problem resolution. The candidate will ideally have well developed IT Skills including Microsoft Office. The candidate will be able to research, analyse, multi-task and prioritise work. You will have excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of a second language such as Arabic, French or an Indian sub-continent language would be an advantage.
