Lead Developer/ Senior Developer – PHP, MySQL, Laravel, Codeigniter, Python, Ruby, Java

MVF, one of the UK’s leading tech and digital marketing companies, is looking for a Lead PHP Developer to join this rapidly growing international company.

You’ll be joining one of our product teams, developing new features and systems to support our rapidly expanding business. Based in our newly refurbished Kentish Town office, the teams are heavily focused on Business Intelligence and programmatic marketing optimisation.

• Develop reliable, maintainable code for products and websites with millions of visitors per month.


• Build a very strong understanding of business needs and goals.


• Ownership of deliverables and quality for the team.


• Coach and train team members.

Skills & Requirements

Technical Requirements

• Fluent in PHP or another web programming language such as Python, Ruby or Java.


• Strong database development experience in at least one of MySQL, Postgres, Oracle or MS SQL.


• Strong experience developing on the LAMP stack.


• Strong experience working and leading teams in an agile environment.


• Comfortable with source control systems, like Git.


• Experience of big data platforms such as Hadoop or Google BigQuery a bonus.

Soft Skills

• Excellent attention to detail.


• Able to build relationships with stakeholders.


• Excellent estimator of work for the team, not just yourself.


• Able to seek actionable feedback from stakeholders and team members.
