This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Credit Controller for a long established family ran organisation who are leaders within the property field and who offer excellent property career progression.


The Stone Lodge Group has been established for 20 years and cover areas including: property developments, property refurbishments, social housing, facilities management, property lettings & property management, hotels, hostels and B&B operations.


Role:


To support our expansion we are looking to fill a number of office based roles and have an immediate requirement for a Credit Controller


As accounts assistant, you will be working in a fast-paced and demanding environment dealing with landlords, tenants and contractors. You must be a strong and resilient character who is a confident communicator.


You must be enthusiastic and responsible with property experience, you must be able to demonstrate a track record of your achievements.


Hours:


Mon – Fri, 9am – 5.30pm


Duties required for the Credit Controller position:
• Chase ALL outstanding arrears via telephone calls and chasing letters.
• Chase landlord debt on non managed properties via telephone, email and letters
• Chase any other outstanding balances on tenant accounts via telephone, email and letters
• Chase all sales fees after completion date
• Liaise with tenants and landlords in relation to any accounts questions either party may have.
• Liaise with other departments in any queries relating the debt, solving the queries that clients
might have
• Reminders to be sent out in relation to the fees outstanding, rental payments
• Door knock on properties where tenants are consistent late/consistent non payers/no contact
with tenants.
• Inspect properties which give reason for the company to believe they have been abandoned or
requested by clients and report to Landlord when necessary.
• To inform other departments of any problem properties and liaise with landlords for them to
authorise service of notice (S.21) when necessary.
• Deal with any rent guarantee insurance claims and assist landlords throughout the process.
• Liaise with solicitors in relation to court procedures and serving of section 8 and 21 notices,
notice to quit.
• Compile detailed files of any properties going through court process for vacant possession and
liaise with landlords solicitors throughout the process.
• To attend court when necessary in order to gain vacant possession of properties.
• To attend and provide access for Bailiffs’ attendance following an award of Vacant Possession.
• Keep CML up to date with payments, notes, arrears, scanned documentation
• Daily/weekly/monthly reporting of debt data and other issues to department manager/senior
management
• Provide cover for other staff members in the client accounts department
• Other Ad-Hoc projects as requested by department manager
• Continual review of processes and procedures to ensure compliance to latest
regulations/industry best practices


Requirements for the Assistant Accounts position:
* Excellent IT skills including Excel, formulas and charts
* Must have good spoken and written English skills
* Need to be accurate and have strong numeracy skills
* Strong communication, customer service and organizational skills


Essential Requirements:

• Previous property experience.
• Good telephone manner.
• Able to act professionally at all times.
• Maintain strict confidentiality.
• Must be computer literate.
• Ability to work on your own initiative.
• 3 x excellent references.
