OTHER SOLUTIONS Consulting (OSC) is a risk-management company which works closely with the humanitarian and development sectors. We have our main offices in Canada Water in London, and operate a dynamic and growing company with a small team.

We offer services in operational support, trainings, crisis management, and analysis. We work with a large pool of international experts, and specialise in MENA, sub-Saharan Africa, and Central Asia.

The position

The Junior Administrator at OSC is a support role within a fast paced, dynamic environment. The Junior Administrator works closely with the Office Manager (who lines manages the JA), OSC Director, OSC Head of Research, the Analysis team, as well as some external stakeholders and partners.

This role is a new position which reinforces the support staff of OSC. It will be a varied one, and requires a solid, multitasking individual who is London-based. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who wishes to learn about the corporate, humanitarian, and development sectors, while developing office skills and enjoying multi-tasking.

Specific aspects of the role:

· Supporting Senior staff and Consultants during their missions

· Arranging national and international travels

· Finance (following up on expenses and receipts)

· Organising events (trainings, networking)

· Filing of office documents

· Proof-reading and document preparation

· Updating website

· Drafting HR contracts

· Any other tasks as agreed with line manager

Skills for this role

Essential

· Organised and aware of time constraints

· Punctual and reliable

· Excellent communication skills, orally and in writing

· Excellent attention to detail

· Able to handle confidential requests and escalate as appropriate

Desirable

· Ability to speak one or more other language, in particular French (but also Arabic, or Spanish, which are languages regularly used at OSC)

· Experience of dealing with people from different cultures and backgrounds

· A relevant degree or experience

· Some basic previous finance experience

· Some basic web updating experience

· Some previous knowledge or experience of the humanitarian and/or development sectors
