Assistant Manager/Manager - Risk & Regulation Managed Solutions






The RMS team is an experienced and dynamic consulting team providing expert operational management to Deloitte’s largest clients, primarily in financial services but also across other sectors particularly the public sector. These skills are available in support of work within both the Risk and Regulation Group, and wider within Deloitte. The team will also target direct market opportunities with specifically developed products.


We partner with clients in both an operational support capacity as well as providing business advisory / consulting services. Based on unprecedented demands for our services, we are looking to recruit a select number of individuals at all levels.


Responsibilities


Risk and Regulation – Risk & Regulation Managed Solutions – Assistant Manager/Manager will have responsibility for:



  • Taking projects from start up to closedown;




  • Managing/ being involved in large scale project teams delivering high volume, complex processes work often in high risk environments




  • Interim management, often by secondment to clients




  • Centre of Excellence for operations management;




  • Project audits against set criteria (PRINCE, MSP); and




  • Remedial work to put projects back on track if required.




  • Having a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; having a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture



Requirements


To qualify for the role you must have:



  • Project and programme management skills




  • A proven track record delivering or being involved in large scale regulatory projects, investigations and remedial reviews




  • Operations management skills from previous careers as well as previous engagements




  • Candidates should have a good academic background with a minimum a 2:1 degree or equivalent Degree type is not significant but it is required that applicants are proficient in structured analysis and team working.




  • Project management, for example PRINCE II or MSP




  • Progression towards a professional qualification would be an advantage




  • Successful projects in either Private or Public sector




  • Delivery of regulatory programmes or projects




  • Breadth of experience of change management in the Financial Services sector




  • Operations management experience within a large / complex corporate environment




  • Financial industry experience across any of the following: Retail Banking/ Wholesale/Investment/Banking/ Insurance (General or Life and Pensions)



Additional desirable experience includes:



  • Excellent oral/written communication, planning, project management, networking and influencing skills Stakeholder and relationship management




  • Ability to identify sales opportunities and progress in conjunction with other team members




  • Strong Leadership skills and the ability to work under own initiative and in many different and challenging environments




  • Strong team working skills




  • Strong presentation, business writing and professional standards
