My client is a large company within the gaming sector. They are looking for an experienced Performance Tester to come on board ASAP. This will be for a 6 month initial duration.

The role will involve driving performance engineering related activities within the companies platform. The Performance Tester will be required to use their technical knowledge and experience to design, test and measure performance of our systems and identify bottlenecks that could affect the overall system capacity and scalability.

This role will be based in London in the City.

The key responsibilities of the Performance Tester will be to:

• Design and implement test scenarios for our systems that span across one or more organizations and architecture.


• Conduct stress and performance testing across various platforms and in-depth problem investigation and analysis.


• Drive project consultation, test planning, test script creation, application setup and configuration, definition of performance metrics, execution of detailed test runs and analysis of test results.


• Recommend overall configuration tuning at an operating unit level for releasing efficient and high performance systems.


• Recommend development process improvements that will improve scalability and performance.


• Implement processes and best practices to drive technology improvements and build software for performance.


• Proactively look for potential performance bottlenecks.

Qualifications:

Proven performance testing experience (5 years +)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Expert using JMeter (highly desired), LoadRunner or Performance Center

Experience of scripting Web/Mobile/Java applications in Jmeter

Experience of scripting using REST protocol

Experience of setting up and maintaining a performance test framework

Skilled at data sourcing using SQL scripts

Understanding of Linux, Java, Oracle, SQL Server & related technologies

BSC or related degree

Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery processes preferred

Experience in sports betting or high transactional systems, preferred

Other:

Must be qualified to work in the UK

Some travel to customer sites may be required
