The Company:

We have a superb opportunity for an experienced Live Events AV Technician to join one of the most successful AV integrators in the UK as a Live Events Audio Visual Technician. They focus on live events including conferences, corporate meetings, and various product launches, as well as a variety of other projects. They regularly work with venues and organisers as well as providing on-site support for existing install clients, where they operate the in-house equipment and provide technical event support.

The Role:

– Live Events Audio Visual Technician
– Reports to the Hire & Events Manager
– Delivery, set-up, operation and dismantle of AV equipment
– Warehouse stock management
– Prepping/testing equipment
– Running crew
– Organising schematics for technical events

The Candidate:

You will come from a hands on Live Events AV background, with experience of rigging, de rigging and the technical operation of an array of equipment including Audio, Video, Data, Lighting, Projection and IT.

You should have:
– Experience operating audio visual equipment, including sound, projection, video and lighting (focus being audio and projection/video), knowledge of VC systems is an asset but not required
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills both face-to-face and on the telephone.
– Computer literacy, with a good working knowledge of PCs and Macs
– A willingness to work flexible and very occasionally unsocial hours
– Reliable and punctual with a smart appearance
– Self-motivated and keen to progress within the industry.

We are looking for an energetic person who is keen to develop their expertise and contribute to the growth of the company as there is plenty of room for advancement within it. It would also be advantageous if you have worked in a Hotel or Venue providing AV support or have had exposure to doing so through an AV Production company. The role of Live Events AV Technician is a perm role with regular hours, good pay, training, certification and a career progression path that is achievable.
