Client Development Manager





Do you consider yourself to be a high calibre Client Development Manager who enjoys the developing strong long lasting relationships with key clients?


A new and exciting position has arisen working for this leading City based global law firm. You will work towards the firm’s new client development program, focusing on key and existing warmclients. The position is a full on client-facing role that involves managing accounts and driving business development in line with the goals of the client team and departmental Partners. The position involves;


  • Developing an in-depth understanding of the clients and the industries they work in

  • Determining what relationships need to be protected/strengthened/explored further

  • Developing and driving the implementation of the client development plan and associated tactical actions in conjunction with the Client Service Partners

  • Coaching client team partners on networking and day to day BD skills for client meetings

  • Preparing client reports and analysis of data

  • Promoting and conducting secondment briefings

  • Ownership of panel pitches and tenders

  • Managing and administrating client budget spend

  • Acting as the ‘go to person’ for all queries relating to each particular client

The desired candidate will have around five years’ client/sales development experience within the legal or professional service sectors working for a global corporation. As well as possess;


  • An advanced degree, preferably in business administration, marketing or communications

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills and ability to successfully manage key relationships and projects

  • Natural adaptation to the expectations and the needs of different cultures across the Firm

  • The ability to manage change

  • Self-motivation and independence with a positive/team player approach

Our client requires someone who can show that they have driven revenue in their current role and not be afraid to give opinion to Partners when it comes to coaching them on how to do business development.
