Moreover, the Division is going through a period of radical re-focus and cultural change to enable the delivery of a new Institutional Strategy – UCL 2034. The Division consists of six departments which each have generic and specific communications requirements ranging from emerging strategy, property/site acquisitions & disposals, capital projects, strategic maintenance programmes, environmental sustainability initiatives, business re-engineering, soft services, safety. The Division has a portfolio management office – Portfolio Services – to drive best practice in project management and to improve co-ordination across the portfolio; to facilitate one-team working; to improve customer focus and to enable the Division to operate more strategically and professionally in all of its endeavours. A significant part of this change has, and continues to be, improving communications – between different teams, across Professional Services and with our customers and stakeholders – and information sharing about strategic initiatives, capital projects, planned and reactive maintenance works etc.; to best manage inter-dependencies across UCL Estates departments and to understand the impact on – and business needs of – our customers, and to proactively engage with key internal and external stakeholders in order to ensure that the academic mission is best supported.
UCL Estates is seeking to recruit a Customer Services Assistant to work within a small team which is responsible for providing first class customer service in accordance with agreed SLAs to ensure support for switchboard and service desk facilities at all times.
Key Requirements
The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level. You must also have strong literacy and numeracy skills with a strong customer focus.
