created a Resident

Services Division

within the Housing

Directorate that will

oversee the management

of our 17000 secure,

leasehold and temporary

housing properties. Our

vision is to provide a

‘Residents First’

approach within a

modern housing

service.

Area Housing Service is

our lynchpin approach

to delivering our

‘Resident First’

service to secure,

leasehold and temporary

tenants. The key tenet

of the approach is

driven by the need to

have housing officers

working across the

borough delivering a

truly generic housing

management service to

all of our residents,

irrespective of

tenure.

We want a number

exceptional people

working with us who

take responsibility to

ensure our residents

live in homes that meet

their needs, and

proactively manage

their tenancies, in a

difficult social

environment. The

successful applicant

will be responsible for

their own patch of

residents, working with

them personally,

visiting them in their

homes and building

lasting relationships

as their main point of

contact. You’ll be

comfortable dealing

with residents on a

range of complex issues

as well as providing a

first class housing

management

service.

While exciting, the job

can be pressurised, as

you need to juggle

multiple demands on

your time and address

varied housing

management issues for

your residents. So

resilience is key to

your success, as is the

need to be organised,

enthusiastic and the

ability to respond

quickly to our

residents. You may not

have worked in housing

before, but you will be

given the support,

authority, and autonomy

to respond to

residents.

The properties that

successful candidates

will manage will depend

on the Area that they

are assigned. The East

area is based in our

office in Brentford,

the Central area based

in Isleworth and West

in our office in

Feltham.
