Cost Consultancy

Cost consultancy complements the very wide range of advisory services that Deloitte already offers its clients. By working closely with our colleagues across the business to draw on their commercial expertise and knowledge of issues such as sustainability and capital allowances, our cost consultancy service brings a fresh approach to the construction sector – one that we think will be very attractive to clients.
Deloitte has now established a 20 strong Cost Consultancy group and has a focus in all aspects of commercial development projects, predominantly in London. We look for high performers with an interest in developing professionally in this consultative environment.
We are currently looking for a Surveyor or Senior Surveyor to join our London office. The role will involve the delivery of high profile projects and consulting on a number of short to medium term assignments for a variety of clients within Construction Advisory and the wider Deloitte business.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate and sustain a high standard of technical competence and professional and ethical standards, consistent with best practice.


• Spend time on understanding specific client needs and ensuring a high standard of service, particularly delivering what is required to agreed timescales and within budget.


• Actively maintain and develop strong client relationships, and actively cross sell clients to other teams where appropriate.


• Involvement with presentations and submissions.


• Have a broader perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them; have a clear understanding of the firm’s commitment to creating a more inclusive culture.

Requirements

• MRICS qualified, with a degree in Quantity Surveying or similar professional qualification.


• Experience of working for a leading Cost Consultancy.


• Experience within the commercial development sector which may include offices, hotels, residential or retail projects, (either new build, refurbishment or fit-out).


• Assertive, professional, strong communication skills.


• Very committed with a high level of drive, initiative and enthusiasm.
