Business Analyst Program Manager




Vivate recruitment are looking for a Business Analysts Programme Manager for immediate start in London. Our Client is is a worldwide Sales and Services Organization within Advertising. They are on the cutting edge of the digital advertising industry, helping them solidify their position as a technology provider that powers the buying and selling of Search advertising across all aspects of their digital portfolio and through strategic alliances with key partnerships.


The Small and Medium-sized Business (SMB) team in is committed to data-driven decision making across the global search advertising business. The Business Analytics Program Manager will be responsible for managing delivering the business analytics, consulting on data architecture design, ROB reporting, and annual planning for SMB Advertising. This position will evaluate, measure, report on and drive improvements to their overall sales/service/marketing reporting, own the periodic business reporting process and framework, and improve overall operational efficiency


The successful candidate will have BA/BS in a quantitative field such as, finance, mathematics, economics, operations, research or business however MBA preferred. We are looking for someone who has 6 or more years of experience in business analysis or analytics role, preferably in an online advertising or technology environment. Extensive experience in Database Architecture design with an in-depth understanding of analytical and reporting processes in a sales, service & / or marketing group. Strong spreadsheet competency with Excel required including PowerPivot and skilled in other MS desktop apps, including Word, PowerPoint, Project and strong SQL database skills. Previous international business experience and three+ years search experience is required.


The Key Responsibilities are;


  • Support the Leadership Team by providing analytic approaches to key strategic initiatives and increasing analytic rigour.

  • Co-own and facilitate forecasting processes for SMB.

  • Help set, maintain and evolve the Business Analytics roadmap. Determine the prioritization and workflows of business performance and analytic initiatives and reporting requests globally.

  • Translate overall MSFT and Microsoft Advertising strategic initiatives into prioritized analytic strategies.

  • Partner with development teams in creating scalable data solutions

  • Develop and strengthen forecasting models for sales, marketing and business performance.

  • Participate in efforts to define Customer Lifetime Value, Cost-to-Serve, and RPM metrics.

  • Develop strong collaborative working relationships with Finance, CRM, Sales, Product, Service and Marketing teams to ensure strong delivery of high quality KPIs, metrics, scorecards, business, sales and marketing analytics.

  • Accountable for overall accuracy, data quality timeliness, and SLA-adherence of business results and business analytics.

  • Communicate overall results of business analyses to multiple levels of leadership across all mediums (written, oral, presentations).

  • Increase automation and scale of analytic resources over time.

  • Develop competitive performance/benchmarking structures and conduct comparative analyses.

  • Inform analytic strategies that promote acquisition, growth and retention of SMB customers at key milestones in the customer life cycle.

  • Manage GS3 EMEA ROB and Business Management planning

You must have these key competencies;


Deep project and ongoing program management experience. Ability to identify required resources/team members, drive a sense of common purpose and shared goals/vision, and deliver results as an outcome of ongoing or time-bound work. Ability to do all of this across multiple simultaneous projects/programs of various complexity and scale.


Statistical modelling & analytic modelling experience. See connections and patterns between complex or unrelated pieces of data; create new concepts to explain situations, problems, or issues.


Strong decision-making & critical thinking ability; able to develop unique methods of analysis where traditional methods do not yield results.


An ability to articulate architectural differences between solution methods and existing infrastructure and provide approaches to integrating solutions.


A deep understanding of, and ability to use and explain all aspects of, relational database design, multidimensional database design, OLTP, OLAP, KPIs, Scorecards, and Dashboards


Versatile communicator, interacting on various professional audience levels to deliver written/oral communications across organizations in a professional and confidential manner.


Experience working with key partners to define and prioritize business requirements. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills both internally and across borders.
