Our client, an exciting, well-established, and fast-growing technology company, is looking for a graphic designer specialising in motion graphics, illustration, animation, and 3D. We are recruiting for a mid to senior level designer – hence the salary range given! You will be working on a range of projects that use all the latest cutting-edge technologies.
Please only apply if you have excellent, relevant, recent experience. You will have been working for at least three years as a designer, focussing on motion graphics, and will have a solid skillset including digital illustration, animation (2D and 3D), video, and interaction, using the latest technologies. To qualify for the more senior salary bandings you will need additional years of experience, but demonstrable skill and talent is more important than experience.
You should be competent in the tools of your trade and able to produce work with minimal assistance. You should be creative, able to come up with your own ideas, and able to quickly produce concepts from which ideas can be explored. You will be joining an existing design team and reporting to the lead designer.
You will be working on showreels, teasers, demo videos, and instruction videos. Stills from your animated work will also be used in marketing material, blank space fillers, branding, and more. You will be creating consistent visual themes for use within key product and branding spaces, so we are looking for sharp, snazzy, modern, engaging, high-quality material, with attention to detail.
Your portfolio will be looked at first, before your CV is even opened, so make sure you showcase your best work! Applications without a portfolio will not be considered. It is acceptable for your portfolio to be online or as PDF, but it should make it clear what work is yours, especially if linking to online sites.
You should be confident and competent in all of these, to a high level:
Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Illustrator and After Effects
Digital illustration
3D rendering and animation
2D animation
Interaction and video
Bonus points for:
Hand-drawn illustration
Digital painting (textures, 3D)
Typography, iconography, and layout

You must be currently residing in the UK and have UK citizenship, with a native standard of fluent English.
