The LSHTM Clinical Trials Unit (CTU) is within the Faculty of Epidemiology and Population Health at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, a leading postgraduate institution in global health. We are a WHO Collaborating Centre in Violence and Injury Prevention, and the Cochrane Injuries Group is based within our Faculty. We are a centre of excellence supporting the development and evaluation of public health and health care interventions worldwide. The CTU has an international reputation for its clinical trials, especially in the area of emergency care and our collaborative network extends to over 50 countries worldwide. We are seeking to appoint a Clerical Assistant to support the team conducting our current programme of clinical trials. Good organisational and office skills are required, as well as a having a good working knowledge of MS Word and strong attention to detail. The trial team consists of a group of enthusiastic and committed people with responsibilities for trial management, data collection and administration. The successful applicant will provide assistance primarily to the administration team and reports to the Trial Manager. The post is for 12 months in the first instance, with potential for extension. The appointment is available immediately and the salary will be within the range £20,609–£22,937 in the Professional Support Pathway Grade 2. The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year for all staff (pro-rata for part-time staff).
