Security Engineer (Senior / Lead Security Analyst). Leading financial services organisation is seeking a senior Security Engineer to ensure that customers’ data is handled in accordance with internal information security policies, standards and the Data Protection Act.

As the Senior / Lead Security Engineer you’ll be a key player in the technical security operations function. Taking ownership of important technical policies and standards you’ll manage and develop the information security system (ISMS), effectively managing risk on behalf of stakeholders to ensure the right policies and procedures are in place if something does go wrong.

You’ll liaise with senior stake holders, flagging up issues identified by security risk assessments and coordinate with 3rd party vendors including negotiating contracts and ensuring that due diligence is carried out and that they remain compliant with security policies.

Your responsibilities as the Senior / Lead Security Engineer will include guiding a small, talented team of Security Analysts, ensuring that they meet objectives and are motivated; setting clear goals and monitoring performance.

Requirements:
*Strong experience as a Security Engineer / Analyst with accountability for major security initiatives
*Good understanding of ISO27001 and developing a ISMS
*Cisco certification: CISSP / CISM
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage / inspire a small team and liaise with senior stake holders to communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience
*Advanced organisation skills, able to plan and prioritise within a fast paced environment
*Familiar with the Data Protection Act and other relevant legislation
*Knowledge of risk management
