Sous Chef (AKM) : Basic salary upto £25K+ incredible bonuses. OTE 32K+

Having been recently valued in excess of 100 Million pounds they are now planning to triple the size of their business over the next three years. With this level of investment finding the key sites across is going to be the easiest part of the openings programme. The challenge is to be able to maintain the consistently high level of guest service delivering incredible tasting food made with the freshest of ingredients served in the sharpest, funkiest and most sublime of environments. Simply put the biggest challenge that they face is recruiting dynamic, slick, driven operators that truly love exceeding the guest’s expectations.
As the Sous Chef (AKM) you will be responsible for so many aspects of running a brilliant back of house operation, but to give you an idea of what is required, you will be expected:
- To ensure that the correct standards are in place.
- To ensure all company policies, procedures and standards are adhered to and that the back of house operates within all relevant legal frameworks
- To ensure that the department complies fully with audit standards
- To ensure staff and management appraisals and ongoing training are completed in time and in compliance both with relevant legislation and company procedures. To also ensure that development solutions are in place as appropriate
- To maintain staff discipline and take necessary action where appropriate – following company procedures
- To take full accountability for coaching and developing junior managers and also take a role in communicating with the team through staff briefings
- customers have a consistent and enjoyable experience
- Responsible for managing back of house costs, including labour, food and maintenance
There is so much more to being an incredible Sous Chef (AKM) you must be
- Level headed/sensible and consistent in nature, trustworthy and reliable
- Able to work flexibly under pressure
- Have good eye for detail and confident working within budgetary and financial constraints
- Approachable with excellent people skills and able to manage a large team
- A proven chef with strong leadership and food cooking skills, uplifting and motivating
- Enthusiastic and committed towards the food industry
- Competent with budgeting systems, stock control, labour and maintenance cost
- A thorough understanding of health and safety and food hygiene and employment
But what do you get in return for being part of business that will be turning over in excess of 50K and up to 100K per week. As the Sous Chef (AKM) your package inclusive of bonuses and other benefits is achievably in excess of 25K p.a. and that on a fixed 48 hour contract.
