Job Title : Senior Researcher – Executive Search Salary : GBP 35,000 per annum Working Hours: 39 per week Location : Piccadilly, London
Key Responsibilities :
- Handling the recruitment process end-to-end from creating the job description, sourcing relevant candidates, interviewing and screening potential talent to compensation negotiation and closing positions
- Supporting with business development activities (building a network of potential client contacts, generating initial leads, keeping track of industry news, etc.)
- Lead client meetings with Managing Consultants and Directors to understand clients’ upcoming employment needs
- Working with clients, Blackbook Directors and Manager to define detailed job descriptions prior to launching the search process
- Experience in drafting job advertisements and posting on relevant job boards (e.g., LinkedIn)
- Global market mapping and analysis – identifying companies that operate within a sector and developing company and department structure and chain of command for these companies including identifying key executives in senior positions
- Sourcing candidates through a) industry contacts and personal network, b) social media such as LinkedIn and other networking tools to find suitable candidates for roles and c) sector-specific forums and events
- Making direct contact with both active and inactive candidates to discuss career aspirations and development needs
- Interviewing potential candidates to understand their background, experience and expectations and screening based on relevance, personality, skill set and overall fit to the client brief
- Discussing and negotiating compensation with candidates to facilitate closure of the position
- Creating progress reports for the client on a regular basis
Skills, qualifications and experience needed Essential:
- Knowledge and experience in each of the following industries: luxury, fashion, retail and hospitality
- International work experience of emerging markets (e.g., Middle East or South Asia or China)
- Demonstrated expertise in sourcing talent for large out of town shopping centers, outlet villages and shopping malls
- Previous Executive search experience required
- Extensive experience as a Researcher working on retained assignments
- Proven track record in sales function of professional services (natural progression of this role would be to do business development)
- Experience in attending client meetings with senior colleagues and presenting candidate pipeline updates
Additional skills/qualifications:
- Able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and written English skills
- Ability to understand absolutely the client requirement
- Tenacity in sourcing stellar candidates
- Degree educated with MBA or equivalent will be preferred
