Deck Customer Service Assistant - AEG Europe - London E14

MBNA Thames Clippers, part of AEG Europe, are the fastest and most frequent fleet on the river. As London’s leading River Bus service, the fleet of high speed catamarans provide commuters and sightseers with a unique way to travel around the capital. We carry around 4 million passengers a year and employ over 250 staff.
Our deck crew are vital in promoting and maintaining the highest levels of customer service to our passengers while on board our vessels.
You will be responsible for:
- The safe operation of our vessels and ensuring the safety of our passengers;
- Assisting with securing the vessel alongside piers;
- Managing the customer experience on board and delivering a ‘world class’ service to our passengers; and
- Assisting the Master and Mate in the cleaning and maintenance of the vessel.
You will:
- Have previous, relevant experience within a customer service environment;
- Possess a positive, friendly “can do” attitude;
- Be a team player who enjoys working in a high achieving environment; and
- Possess excellent communication skills, know how to build rapport both internally and externally, and are able remain calm and confident, even when under pressure.
If your application is successful, there will be two stages to the recruitment process for this position. Stage 1 will be a telephone screening, after which you would be invited to an assessment day.
Our next assessment day will be held week commencing 13 June 2016.
