United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland: Assistant Technical Director (Maternity Cover)

Options Consultancy Services Ltd is looking for a highly experienced Assistant Technical Director who can bring technical expertise in areas that contribute to strengthening health systems in low and middle income countries. We are seeking experts with specialist skills in a range of specialist areas including monitoring and evaluation, health financing, maternal, neonatal, child health and nutrition programmes.

In this role you will be responsible for delivering top quality expertise and technical oversight to our long-term programmes, and you will work pro-actively with colleagues to generate new ideas to expand Options’ portfolio of work, and contribute to proposal development and management of in-house technical experts.

We will be pleased to consider your application if you have an exceptional track record in your specialist field and strong expertise in any of the areas we are seeking. You will have an MSc or PhD in an area related to health and international development and demonstrable experience of leading technical implementation of programmes and provision of management oversight. You will be a team player, comfortable working in multi-disciplinary teams. A confident self-starter, you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-moving and complex environment. Post holders will need to be able travel as required.
