The primary responsibility of this role is to further MSI’s Goal: The Prevention of Unwanted Births and its mission of ensuring the individual’s right to**: children by choice, not chance.**


The Role:


Working with closely with the Global Marketing Advisor, the Research, Monitoring and Evaluation (RME) team and country programmes these position analyses global and country level data sets to draw trends and insight to inform the development of future marketing programmes and strategies, with a particular emphasis on youth.


About you:


To be considered for the role you will have:


  • Experienced in marketing analytics working across different sectors and categories

  • Proven experience in analysing complex data sets and formulating recommendations for strategy development, including for non-research audience – knows how to turn data into insight into actionable recommendations

  • Highly numerate; able to analyse complex data; find patterns and can use a wide range of data sources and express findings in plain English

  • Good commercial understanding and understands both the cost/benefit side of commercial investments

  • Experience working in the development sector or in a resource/data poor environment

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in the field marketing or statistics or business analytics

  • Can effectively use statistical software packages (SPSS and /or STATA)

  • Highly skilled in excel and using to create analytical tables and graphical outputs
