United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland: Digital Content Producer – ENN
Overview
ENN is a UK based charity working to strengthen the evidence and know-how for effective nutrition interventions in countries prone to crisis and high levels of malnutrition. We are now looking for a London-based Digital Content Producer (DCP) to join our small global team.
We are looking for a versatile, self-starting hybrid digital media creator with the skillset to both manage our global content calendar, content management system (CMS), and see small scale video and audio productions through from start to finish. With most content being captured internationally in our focus countries (mostly Africa and Asia), the candidate will be responsible for briefing staff based overseas in content capture best practices, providing them with remote and on-site support, as well upskilling them to continue evolving our practice.
The DCP will be a core member of staff working out of our London sub-office and reporting to the Global Coordinator. The DCP will support staff in three regional hubs in Asia, West Africa and East Africa – remotely and through international travel as required.
In addition to having the appropriate technical skills for this role, the ideal candidate will have an interest or background in international development or humanitarian issues and ideally a command of French. This role will initially be part-time (3 days per week) but has scope to become full-time in late 2016. Salary will be dependent on experience.
Scope of work
· Brief the team on basic video and audio capture with sessions during a face-to-face meeting in London in November 2016, and through ongoing remote support and follow up during country visits;
· Produce and upload content onto the new online platform including podcasts and videos, and other content produced the team;
· Attend key regional and global events where opportunities to capture digital content arise, liaising closely with staff overseas to identify and follow up on opportunities;
· Make regular contributions to ENN social media platforms and link in with other key online initiatives and actors;
· Support the development and launch of a new online platform in late 2016;
· Contribute to a digital strategic plan in consultation with our publications editorial team, regional staff and global coordinator.
