United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland: Head of Mobilisation
Salary: £52,000 pa
We are looking for an experienced individual to join us as Head of Mobilisation. You will lead the development and delivery of Save the Children’s campaign supporter mobilisation strategy both through building a strong offline community and through building a strong online campaign base.

Our Advocacy and Policy department is where we drive political agendas at national and global levels. We’ve integrated lobbying, policy, research and campaigning into one agile, powerful engine for change. As Head of Mobilisation you will lead a high performing team focused on creating a strong movement of Save the Children campaigners in the UK to support the work of our thematic campaign teams. In addition you will:
- Grow and develop Save the Children’s ‘community champions’ scheme and other community based propositions
- Play a leading role in delivering the ‘Supporter Promise’ across the Policy, Advocacy and Campaigns Division
- Lead and manage a high-performing team, providing strategic direction, support and motivation for your staff
- Grow the digital campaign base whilst leading the development of strong digital acquisition
- Work with Heads of Campaigns to identify mobilization opportunities and manage new and innovative partnerships.
To be successful you will have a proven track record of devising and delivering high impact campaign strategies to bring in new audiences and campaigners to inspire action and deliver change. You will have experience in managing budgets with a proven ability to take initiative and manage a complex workload. In addition you will have:
- Demonstrable experience in successfully finding and using insights into supporters lives, behavior and motivations
- A track record of leading successful campaigns and an excellent understanding of the campaigning environment in the UK
- A proven ability to think and plan strategically
- The ability to work in a complex organization, across functional and national boundaries and to build effective working relationships
- Assertiveness, energy and creativity with the ability to inspire colleagues in different teams with a shared vision.
