Box Office Assistant - St Martin-in-the-Fields Ltd - London

We are searching for an enthusiastic, energetic and organised person to work in our Box Office – a fantastic opportunity to be closely involved in a central London world – renowned music venue.

The Box Office Assistant will be responsible for the day-to-day working of the Box Office, where duties will include providing welcome, selling tickets, resolving and answering queries and cash reconciliation. You will often be the first point of contact for visitors to St Martin’s, and so excellent interpersonal and customer service skill is paramount.

You must possess excellent customer service and a real can do attitude. Plus, you must be an excellent, clear and confident communicator, highly motivated and customer focused, with the ability to efficiently organise activities, on your own in a methodical way as well as engaging within the concerts and retail teams.

St Martin’s Box Office is situated in the foyer space of the Crypt, near the Shop at St Martin’s. It is a double fronted work station, plus an accessible desk, and at peak times there will be up to 3 staff working at the Box Office.

Currently, evening concerts are held every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Bank Holidays and some Tuesdays. Timings are generally from 7.30pm to 9.30pm, although timings may vary. Jazz nights are every Wednesday in the Crypt.

The pattern of work for this role will be Monday – Saturday, 5/7 shifts, the Box Office opens from 8 am – 9 pm and with regular evening and weekend work.

Rate of pay is £8.39 per hour, plus work place pension (subject to T & Cs), 28 days holiday (including bank holidays) and discount in the Shop and Café.
