Graduate opportunity – Banking IT Operations Planning & Control

Central London / City


c. £30k base + very good bens + significant forward prospects.


An opportunity has arisen to join this prestigious international banking group which has their EMEA HQ in the heart of the City of London. (employing c.1000 individuals / c. 350 in IT). This bank is very healthy pre/during/post the crash.


This role will provide an efficient and high quality proactive support service to back office IT operations. Main responsibilities will include EUC (End User Computing), system development and maintenance work. As the team is very small and continuously involved in a variety of projects that are at different stages, this role will have many opportunities to be involved in a full systems development lifecycle covering a wide range of tasks.


You will be involved in;


Business Analysis
Systems design and programming / coding (Microsoft MsAccess / VBA / ASP / SQL Server)
IT Technical Support
Technical documentation
Systems Testing
Liaison with other internal IT teams and business teams


Candidates need to have:
A degree at 2.1 or higher in an IT / Computing related discipline, science or mathematics)
Strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional and timely manner.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
Ability to develop / code in MsAccess / VBA (Visual Basic for Applications)
