Night Worker - St Mungos - Lewisham
(Lewisham)37.5 hours pwThe LARC is the assessment centre for the Lewisham Vulnerable Adult Pathway. It is a fast-paced, responsive environment and works with a variety of clients: those who are new to homelessness, some with complex needs, some who are more institutionalised or entrenched, and also those who are multiply excluded service users. The stay at the centre is approximately 3 months and our role is to provide high quality needs assessments, as well as a roof over their head and the level of support towards recovery that St Mungo’s is renowned for. We’re looking for a dedicated Night Worker who will cover waking night shifts and ensure the safety and security of our clients and the building. You will also have the opportunity to get to know our clients who may want someone to talk to during the night.We’ll need you to carry out administrative tasks, building checks, appropriately deal with any issues that arise during your shift and write handover notes for the daytime workers. You’ll need to be punctual and awake at all times during your shift.Your shifts will start around 9.00pm and finish between 7.30 and 10.00am the following morning depending on the requirements of the fortnightly rolling rota. You may also be required to attend some meetings and training during the day.
