Duty Manager




DUTY MANAGER REQUIRED FOR WIMBLEDON’S LARGEST HOTEL


OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB


You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the hotel and its staff and have accountability for planning, organising and directing all hotel services, including front-of-house, reception, concierge, reservation, conference and events and housekeeping.


The objective is to facilitate smooth-running customer service, whilst ensuring staff work together as a team to provide the core values of the Antoinette; hard work and personal service.


MAIN ACTIVITIES/TASKS (vary but may include:)


• planning and organising accommodation, catering and other hotel services;


• monitoring staff;


• planning work schedules;


• meeting and greeting guests;


• dealing with customer issues and guests;


• addressing and resolving issues


• ensuring events and conferences run smoothly;


• supervising maintenance, supplies and furnishings;


• dealing with contractors and suppliers;


• ensuring security is effective;


• carrying out inspections of property and services;


• ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations


As a Duty Manager you are given a responsibility and as such need to be exemplary in your role, displaying all of the following:


• excellent communication and interpersonal skills;


• the ability to think on your feet and make quick decisions;


• numeracy and logistical planning skills;


• a calm and rational approach in hectic situations;


• the ability to balance customer and business priorities;


• a ‘can do’ mentality;


• energy and flexibility.
