Senior Conference Producer – Global Events Industry

Location: Central London

Base Salary: £40k + excellent uncapped commission – This position offers very strong career progression & an excellent additional benefits package.

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative, highly motivated and entrepreneurial Conference Manager to join this top performing events team and help develop a World Series of events within the Technology Sector.

It will be your job to work with the technology industry to ensure successful programme development of these products, ensuring the highest quality agendas are produced as well as focus on the latest innovations to drive growth on these events. An ability to develop your own profile as a thought leader within this sector is key. Working closely with the sponsorship / exhibition & marketing teams to establish and convert deals will be central to the role.

Are you currently excelling in the role of Conference Production and are now ready to take on a new challenge of greater autonomy, accountability and develop your commercial skills.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in further growth of the business by developing & programming conference content and analysing the direction, theme and focus the events should take. This involves not only continually improving the quality and value of the conference programmes, and increasing the number of senior management speakers from leading companies and innovators, but also identifying and developing commercial opportunities around those events.

Responsibilities will include:

• Producing 3 events per year, including a flagship US event


• Market analysis and identifying topic and commercial opportunities


• Working closely with the marketing, VIP relations and delegates sales teams to maximise attendance and delegate revenue


• Working closely with the high performing sales team to deliver growing sponsorship & exhibition sales


• Developing high-level conference agendas, securing senior management speakers and identifying new event revenue streams & formats


• Developing contacts with service providers, industry suppliers, and others key industry players, including attending major industry events


• Finding and developing new event formats & identifying new revenue streams


• Contributing to content-led promotion, including video and social media


• International travel for both business development and to run your own events

The Person

• The ability to develop best in class, industry leading conference agendas


• Experience in working with marketing teams to maximise attendance of high-quality attendees+


• Experience in working with sales teams to exceed event revenue targets


• Experience of in-depth market analysis to establish how to deliver a refreshed event year-on-year


• Analytical research skill and the ability to quickly assimilate business information

• The ability to develop strong relationships with key industry players

• Experience or interest in delivering online / digital events and eager to build this into your event offerings

Proven Conference Production skills include:

Research skills using a number of information sources, attention to detail, time management with an ability to multi-task, good commercial awareness, interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, resilience, commercial copy-writing and the ability to call up experts and extract key information over the phone.
