Kaplan International Colleges, part of Kaplan Inc., is a group of 8 colleges in the UK where international students from over 100 countries study, in order to prepare for entry onto UK degree programmes at 12 leading UK universities. These programmes, known as Foundation programmes, last a full academic year and represent a big investment for our students and their parents. We also offer Pre-masters programmes which are shorter and aimed at graduates wanting to study at postgraduate level. Most of our students are recruited through educational agents, located everywhere from Guangzhou to Jeddah. We are now looking for an Admissions Advisor, who will oversee the student application process from point of application to enrolment and actively support our student recruitment team. You will play a key role in supporting the recruitment of students from around the globe to our international colleges throughout the UK. You’ll support our students along their journey fulfil the entrance criteria (usually grades and transcripts from their high school education) and complete the many stages involved with obtaining their Tier 4 visa.

Your key day to day tasks will include:

• assessing student applications to determine suitability for our courses


• providing structured advice and counselling to students students in relation to completion and submission of applications to alternative institutions for potential non-progressing students.


• advising students and agents throughout the enrolment process


• providing on-going support by phone or email about life in the UK, course details and accommodation


• inputting information onto the UKVI database in order to generate visa documents


• tracking information about students’ final progression destinations and recording it


• proactively engaging in planning, training and development activites

About you
To perform the role to a high level, you will need:

• strong written and spoken English


• excellent telephone manner including a positive tone of voice and an ability to enunciate clearly


• ability to input data quickly and accurately


• aptitude for building rapport and influencing


• interest in customers and helping them to achieve their goals


• sociable, friendly disposition


• ability to prioritise and organise workload


• willingness to work flexible hours where required (including some weekends during critical periods)

Also desirable would be:

• Fluency in an additional language; particularly Russian or Arabic


• Strong Excel skills

To help you succeed in your role, we’ll provide you with on-going training and support. There are excellent opportunities for development and progression both within the Admissions team and the wider KI Higher Education business. You role will also include travel to our Kaplan colleges and partner universities.
