Applications and Information Architect – Croydon

We are currently seeking an experienced Applications and Information Architect for a public sector client based in Croydon.

The role will involve supporting the Enterprise and Information Architecture Manager in recommending, defining, developing and implementing an applications and information architecture strategy which supports the roll out of the overall ICT strategy and the Information Management strategy

Day to duties include:

• Work with resources from the business, project services, development, data modelling, database administration and service delivery to develop a solution that advances best practices within applications and information architecture


• Identify and architect user interaction solutions and systems, designing the process, whilst tracking progress and supporting the project manager in implementation


• Undertake application specific system procurements where tendering is required in consultation with procurement and legal services


• Undertake application specific system procurements where tendering is not required, doing this in consultation with the project delivery manager

The ideal candidate will have excellent knowledge of applications, including strategic solutions such as Microsoft, Oracle, Sun, Citrix, ERP and CRM.

Skills required include:

• Excellent knowledge of information systems architecture, systems design, data analysis and systems integration


• Good working knowledge of data centre technologies, open and legacy architectures


• Good working knowledge of information governance issues including data protection, freedom of information and any service specific standards, e.g. Caldicott requirements
