We are currently working with an entrepreneurial retail business based in South West London who are looking to recruit a Financial Controller on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Managing Director and leading a small team, the remit of the role will be to manage the finance function and key responsibilities will include:-

• Production of monthly and annual financial statements


• Co-ordinate the monthly management accounts
  
  • Liaise with external auditors
  
  


• Provide in-depth analysis of financial performance


• Take ownership of outsourced payroll


• Produce quarterly VAT returns.


• Work closely with budget holders to produce annual budgets and monthly forecasts


• Manage the workload of 2 transactional staff

This will ideally suit a qualified or “qualified-by-experience” controller with a track record of leading a finance function. Retail experience is desirable but not essential.
