My Client Primary School in the London borough of Southwark, is looking for up to three strong, experienced Teaching Assistants (TA) to work at the school for the rest of the Academic Year. The positions will start in April.

This London school is outstanding , there is excellence in Academic terms (very close to 100% of the pupils in Year 6 achieved the national average or above in the 2014 Year 6 SATs) ; 60% of these pupils achieved level 5 or above which effectively means they were working at Year 7 level. The London school is also renowned for its creativity with their pupils; a Teaching Assistant plays a very important role. There are excellent facilities for Art, Music, Sport; the school has achieved The Gold Arts Mark Award for Arts. A Teaching Assistant (TA) will be an important factor in the contribution to achieving the Awards.

To be suitable for these roles, you will need to be someone who has successfully supported children and teachers in previous roles as a general class Teaching Assistant (TA), or as a one to one Teaching Assistant (TA). In terms of behaviour management, the school is looking for Teaching Assistants (TA) who can effectively support high achieving pupils, as well as challenging and SEN pupils. In terms of support and guidance, you will be given phenomenal support and guidance from experienced class teachers and the SENCO.

The Head is keen to recruit experienced Teaching Assistants (TA), for the remainder of the Academic year and then look to potentially make them permanent employees and help them progress to HLTA positions and other higher positions.
