Research Associate (Fixed Term)


The Department of Psychiatry is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Research Associate to join the team in May 2016.


The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team of scientists investigating the neural basis and cognitive correlates of behavioural phenotypes in large existing and still being collected longitudinal community and clinical cohorts of adolescents and young adults.


Applicants will have a PhD and some postdoctoral experience reflecting an expert level of knowledge in cognitive and behavioural neuroscience together with a working knowledge and interest in longitudinal data analysis and mental illness.


This role requires a Research Passport application for access to the NHS for research purposes. Any offer of employment will be conditional upon the satisfactory outcome of this check and whether an outcome is satisfactory will be determined by the University.


The post will be appointed at the appropriate point on the University of Cambridge’s research associate salary scale, depending on the seniority of the successful candidate.


The successful applicant may be offered an affiliation with Peterhouse College at the discretion of the College authorities


Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2018 in the first instance.
