An innovative and dynamic City of London based management consultancy, are looking to add an Accounts Payable Accountant to their team. The position is sole charge, i.e. a standalone role and previous experience in this capacity is very desirable. The job has arisen due to my client completing a recent acquisition. Candidates with accounting experience within the professional services sector are extremely desirable.

The position will be reporting in to the Group Financial Controller. The firm has 5 entities within the Group, and the candidate will be managing the accounts payable ledger for all of these entities. The duties include overseeing the entire accounts payable ledger, matching, batching and coding invoices, maintaining the fixed asset register, multi-currency bank reconciliations, processing expenses, reconciling supplier statements and VAT returns.

Candidates must have strong practical experience with an accountancy package such as Sage, Navision, SUN, SAP or QuickBooks. Candidates with accounting experience within the professional services sector are extremely desirable. There is a significant amount of Excel use in the role, so candidates should be highly adept with building pivot tables and v-look ups from scratch.
