Data Scientist – London – £45k – £65k – Marketing Analytics

Avanti Recruitment is working with a leading organisation in the sports betting sector to recruit a Data Scientist to join their team in Central London. You will be working in a new part of a very successful organisation as they look to extractbusiness insights and derive more value from the huge volumes of data they generate through building predictive models and data analytics. Your role will focus on understanding customer behaviour and marketing analytics and not the sports betting models. This will include include creating and validating statistical models and machine learning methods, designing and testing algorithms that automate customer insight and investigating and adoption of new technologies and techniques.

To be considered your CV will show your excellent academic background including an MSc or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics or other numerate disciplines and proven experience designing and developing predictive models. You will ideally have experience with R or Python and SQL and working with large data sets. You will have extensive experience with analytical techniques such as clustering,decision trees,neural networks and multivariate regression.

Any experience with customer database analytics such as analytic segmentation, response analysis, measurement strategy development would be beneficial but is not essential. As would knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark and big data analytics would be beneficial but is not essential.
