Security Guard - Amey Group Services Ltd - Bromley

To provide excellent security and postal/courier services to our sites in the Bexley and Bromley are. This role will require someone who is flexible and willing to work in a varied environment. You will spend half your time providing security services in the Bexley area and the remainder of your time providing postal/courier services across the Bexley and Bromley area.

What will this role involve?

• Carry out patrols as prescribed


• Cover reception area out of hours


• To ensure all security and fire incidents are recorded appropriately


• Dependant on the account, it may be necessary to sign a secrecy document or undergo security clearance prior to commencement of employment


• Collecting outgoing mail from sites


• Delivering mail across a number of sites


• Sorting mail


• Providing a courier service to our clients across the boroughs


• Ensuring that packages are signed for and reordered as required


• Delivering internal mail

What are we looking for?

• S.I.A licence


• Current UK Driving licence


• 10 year checkable work history


• Flexibility


• Good customer service skills


• Able to exercise initiative and prioritize duties accordingly


• Able to work to a high standard against agreed timescales with limited supervision


• Previous security experience

For any Frontline Security Position’;s, Amey has a legal obligation to security screen all employees to the Security Screening Standard BS7858. This process will ask for 10 years employment history as part of the process together with proof of SIA licence details. We will need to gain 5 years employment references and complete the full screening before a start date can be confirmed
