Salary: From £4,100 per annum (£20,500 pro-rata)
Salary Band: D2
Contract Type: Fixed term until 31st January 2017 with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.

Hours: 7 (often Saturdays) increasing to 21 during recess periods.

The Role
The House of Commons is excited to offer numerous Visitor Assistant positions in the Visitor Services team. Visitor Services is a fast-growing and driven team based in the beautiful Palace of Westminster. We are committed to creating as many opportunities for the public to enjoy Parliament as possible. The Visitor Assistants form a crucial part of the visitor experience, welcoming approximately one million visitors per year!

T* *he Individual
The key role will be to support the Visitor Services Supervisors in the delivery of Visitor Services within the Palace of Westminster. The successful candidates will provide a proactive, friendly and professional welcome to all visitors admitted to the Houses of Parliament on Commercial Opening days. The ideal candidate will have customer service experience, communications skills, and uphold the principals of equality, diversity and inclusion when dealing with the public.
