An established contract testing laboratory require a Lab Support Administrator to join its team. You will provide administrative support including data entry, sample receipt, client liaison and stores maintenance. This position will be set within a laboratory environment and so it required that you will have an understanding of chemistry, either from A-Levels or a BSc, in addition to prior administrative experience.

*Meet quality requirements with respect to GMP, GLP and UKAS as appropriate
*Basic hazard assessment
*Primarily data entry
Requirements
The successful candidate must be able to:
*Maintain accuracy and organisation with a strong focus on detail during data entry processes using multiple systems in a high pressure environment;
*Demonstrate good communication skills (both verbal and written);
*Work independently, using their own judgement and initiative to determine appropriate actions in routine and non-routine situations;
*Comprehend and follow procedural guidelines to ensure compliance to stringent quality requirements;
*Maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally;
*Demonstrate proficiency in the use of ICT with particular respect to MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and at least a basic understanding of how to use databases (LIMS/Therefore);
*Demonstrate excellent time management skills;
*Prioritise by assessing situations to determine urgency
Overall, the person needs to be methodical in approach and have good communication, organisation and numerical skills together with an ability to handle multiple priorities and work accurately.
Preferences
Basic understanding of chemistry – minimum GCSE Science, preferably A-Level or above.
Mature attitude.
Previous office administration skills – data entry, client liaison.
Manual dexterity as a degree of physical work is involved.
