The College wishes to recruit a Lecturer in Clinical Research (Education and Scholarship) to support the delivery of the Doctorate in Clinical Practice, MSc in Psychological Therapies and clinical training programmes. This part-time post (0.1 fte) is available immediately on a fixed term contract until 30 September 2017.


The post will include responsibility for the design, development and production of teaching and learning material and deliver across a range of research modules within the clinical psychology or psychodynamic research area. You will work with the Doctor of Clinical Practice Programme, MSc in Psychological Therapies and clinical training programmes team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of teaching programmes in accord with the College’s education strategy and implementing the External Affairs strategy. 


The successful applicant will possess sufficient breadth or depth of specialist and core knowledge in the discipline, demonstrated by a PhD (optional or nearing completion) or equivalent in Clinical Research to develop teaching programmes, and teach and support learning in this academic area. They will use a range of delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students. They will participate in and develop external networks, for example to contribute to student recruitment, secure student placements, facilitate outreach work, generate income, obtain consultancy projects, or build relationships for future activities.


The successful applicant will have evidence of excellent teaching identified by peer review and have made an impact at discipline programme level beyond their own teaching. The applicant will also have extensive experience of qualitative research methodologies as applied in psychoanalytic practice.
