My client are a leading distributer of premium spirits. They are now looking for a Management Accountant to join their small finance department, working in a lively, stimulating environment. This is a really exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business. 

Role purpose:

• Preparing reports for budgeting control purposes as well as management reports on sales, operating expenses & marketing.
• Analysing and provide understanding of the information in the reports.
• Monitor accruals processes for more accurate reporting.
• Generating and analysing the financial statements of the company meeting reporting deadlines and working with auditors on year end processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the monthly closings of the ledgers to ensure a clean cut off and the timely submission of financial reports (corporate & internal).
• Prepare monthly internal Sales, Operating Expense & Marketing reports.
• Review the financial statements and internal reports with Manager to analyse the variances vs. budget and/or forecast figures.
• Manage and control bank information: reconcile balances, control inter-company payments (wire transfers); organize and plan payments.
• Participate with projects related to SAP (new reports, interfaces, etc.)
• Ad hoc reporting requirements.
• Process G/L entries and generate reports.
• Build and maintain a sales and marketing accrual process.
• Ensuring all invoices processed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Responsible for ensuring all invoices received are supported, approved, paid and recorded in accordance with Company guidelines.

Person Specification:

Education, Experience & Knowledge:

– A minimum of Part- Qualified 
– Proficient SAP and Microsoft Excel
– Strong people and communication skills
