Research Assistant

As & When, Fixed term May 2016 to December 2016

Working across our new University Research Centres and Faculty Research Centres, our team of leading academics has developed a significant portfolio of impactful research and we are looking for talented research staff to join us.

As part of our strategy The Centre for Research in Psychology, Behaviour and Achievement is looking for Research Assistants to work with young children in Primary schools, who can be pulled in to work flexibly, as and when needed, at key points in the project. These posts are fixed term, Initially offering work for a 10 week period from May 16^th – July 22^nd 2016. This will be a time-limited and intensive data collection period in schools in the Midlands. Successful candidates will therefore need to be based within a reasonable commuting distance of this region and will require a full DBS check.

Responsibilities include conducting reading and reading related assessments with Primary school children in a friendly and professional manner, and ensuring good data management practices.

You should have a good degree in an appropriate subject such as Psychology, or relevant discipline or professional experience equivalent to an honours degree. Experience of working as a Research Assistant in Psychology or Behavioural Science would be advantageous.

A DBS check will be required.
