Telephone Sales Executive – c.£24k +uncapped com – Sutton


This is a customer-focused role and you will be expected to adapt a consultative approach to selling. This is an opportunity to build and manage your own customer base, maximising revenue and increasing customer numbers. The role requires a high level of telephone activity and a passion for winning new business is essential. The successful candidate will be working in a vibrant B2B sales environment with generous benefits and incentives.


Successful Sales Executives can earn an uncapped commission along with a host of other incentives rewarding high performance. In 2015 these have included:

Responsibilities include:


  • Lead execution – Utilising the lead sourcing tools that are provided to win new business

  • Identify additional leads and opportunities to work with new customers

  • Build relationships with new and existing customers

  • Work to individual targets to include print revenue, online revenue and customer numbers

  • Offer a high level of customer service and account management

  • Write strong proposals to demonstrate that your brand is a suitable platform to meet client objectives

  • Understand and be able to confidently sell print, online, email and social media advertising tools

  • Create innovative ways to build business from existing customers and the market

  • Possess up to date knowledge of customers and the market

  • Provide client and competitor information and intelligence to Sales Manager/Business Manager/ Sales Director and other team members

  • Liaise effectively with all internal departments

Skills and experience required:


  • Able to sell effectively over the telephone

  • People orientated, excellent listening skills

  • Able to build relationships over the telephone

  • Able to build relationships both external and internal

  • Commercial acumen

  • Highly self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and drive to reach and exceed targets

  • Organised and able to manage own time

  • Excellent negotiation & communication skills – including good written English
