Full Stack Web Developer (WordPress or Laravel focus)

My client is boutique web/digital consultancy with offices on the South Bank. They are looking for a Full Stack Web Developer to work in their small but talented team, primarily to work on complex WordPress and/or Laravel projects. Their clients are a mix of agencies, SMEs, charities and start-ups so you’ll get to work on varied projects for some big brands and new companies alike. An agency background is an advantage.

You’ll be building web sites, web apps and mobile solutions so strong front-end skills are required as is experience building secure apps on a LAMP stack. Ability to work as part of a team is a must in addition to being able to manage on your own where necessary (past freelance experience is useful).

Required experience includes some or all of the following:

* Strong PHP

* WordPress – bespoke plugin development and API integration

* Laravel framework

* Experience working with 3rd party and social APIs (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)

* HTML/HTML5

* CSS/CSS3

* JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. jQuery, Angular.js)

* Cross-browser and cross-device development (specifically responsive development)

* LAMP stack

* Git

* Photoshop

* Basic server administration (advanced is an added bonus)

* Ability and desire to learn new technologies

* 3-5+ years in a Web Developer position

* E-commerce (e.g. Shopify, Magento)

It would be an advantage if you have further experience in the following areas:

* Other PHP-based Content Management Systems (ExpressionEngine, Drupal, etc)

* Advanced JavaScript (e.g. Ajax, JSON, Backbone.js, Angular.js)

* Performance, scaling and server optimisation

* Ionic, Phonegap or similar
